Mary C. Piperato Dimsey

Mary C. Piperato Dimsey of Franklin,VA formerly of Newburgh, N.Y., entered peacefully into rest Monday, August 8, 2011 at her home in after a short battle with cancer. She was 60.
She was the daughter of Catherine “Renee” Ruggiero Piperato and the late Nicholas Piperato Sr. Mary was born July 16, 1951 in Newburgh, NY. Mary graduated Wallkill High School in 1969 and attended 4 years at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College and was a member of St Jude’s Church of Franklin, VA.
In addition to her mother Catherine “Renee” of the Town of Newburgh, Mary is survived by her husband, Richard E. Dimsey Sr. of Franklin VA; her son, Richard E. Dimsey Jr., wife Dawn of Plattekill and a daughter, Kathleen Guevara and her husband, David of Ashland VA; grandchildren: Eleanore and Lora Dimsey of Myrtle Beach, SC, David and Rachel Guevara of Ashland ,VA and Richard Dimsey III of Plattekill NY; she also leaves behind a brother, Nicholas Piperato Jr. and his wife, Deborah of Newburgh; sister, Teresa Tragis and her husband, David of Newburgh, and sister, JoAnn Bahr and her husband, Richard of Norristown, Michigan, along with nieces and nephews: Amanda and David Tragis and Nicholas III and Catherine Piperato.
Mary was predeceased by her son, Phillip James Dimsey, August 6, 1995.
Visitation to which family and friends are invited will be Friday, August 12 from 4-8 p.m. at the White & Venuto Funeral Home, 188 North Plank Rd. (Rt. 32), Newburgh, NY.
A funeral mass will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, August 13 at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Rt. 32, Plattekill, NY., with Father John Jaume officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.
