FRANKLIN—The Walgreens in Franklin was named the best for customer service among the district’s 35 stores at a recent national conference in Las Vegas.

In addition, its pharmacy was recognized for giving more immunizations than any other store in the district during the last flu season.

For customer service, the ranking is based on a nine-point scale from customer surveys, said Store Manager Sandra Tinsley. The store had a 95.3 percent satisfaction rate.

Walgreens Pharmacy Manager Sharon Hasty said employees gave 1,292 flu shots last season, 53 pneumonia vaccines and four vaccinations for shingles. The pharmacy staff went to City Hall to give teachers in Franklin City Public Schools immunizations.

The store was named an Immunization Center of Excellence because of the vaccination training of the pharmacists and the proper storage equipment for vaccines.
