Mary Bradshaw Carr

Franklin – Mary Bradshaw Carr, 98, widow of Luther Carr, passed away July 13, 2011. She was born in Isle of Wight County, a daughter of the late John Ernest and Annie Bland Bradshaw, and was predeceased by a daughter, Virgie Lee Tharrington, two sons, George R. Carr and William Curtis Carr, four sisters, Ruby, Lois and Verna Carr and Margaret Drake, two brothers, Morgan Bradshaw and John Ernest Bradshaw, and a grandson, Todd Cutchins. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Christian Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Lucille C. Cutchins (Richard) of Franklin; three sons, John R. Carr (Helen) of Courtland, Ronald W. Carr (Pat) of Carrsville, and D. Bruce Carr of Franklin; one sister Louise Pope of Windsor; three brothers, Leroy Bradshaw of Carrsville, Russell Bradshaw and Alfred Bradshaw, both of Suffolk; sixteen grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 am Friday at Black Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Greg Kitts officiating. Wright Funeral Home is assisting the family. Memorial may be made to the Black Creek Baptist Church Building Fund. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
