Katherine Milteer Bolton

BRANCHVILLE—Katherine Milteer Bolton, 87, widow of Thomas Quinton Bolton, passed away June 25, 2011, at Courtland Healthcare Center.

She was born in Nansemond County, a daughter of the late Jethro Thomas and Mary Taylor Milteer and was predeceased by a sister, Nancy Mann, and two brothers, Newman Milteer and Thomas Milteer Jr.

Mrs. Bolton was retired from the U.S. Postal Service in Branchville.

She attended Boykins Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memory are two sons, Neal T. Bolton and wife, Susan, of Gasburg and Leon W. Bolton and wife, Amy, of Boykins; two grandchildren, Michael Bolton (Jessica) and Thomas Bolton; one great-grandchild, Makenna Lynn Bolton; one sister, Evie Fowler of Franklin and one brother, Johnny Milteer of Springfield, Tenn.

A graveside service was conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at Beechwood Cemetery in Boykins with the Rev. Raymond Bunn officiating. The family received friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the Boykins Chapel of Wright Funeral Home and suggests that memorials be made to Boykins Baptist Church, P.O. Box 316, Boykins, Va., 23827.
