FRANKLIN—A Franklin man was arrested for his alleged role in the abduction of a woman followed by unwanted sexual advances.

Bryan Walton, 27, was one of four men who allegedly picked up a woman at 9:30 p.m. on June 13 after offering her a ride home on the 200 block of Bank Street, according to Franklin Police. Walton was charged with abduction and sexual battery charges.

The men drove the victim to Southampton County and allegedly touched her inappropriately, police said. When the victim protested, her cell phone was stolen and she was pushed out of the car on Vicksville Road, police said.

A Southampton County Sheriff’s deputy saw her walking and drove her home.

The investigation is continuing.
