NEWPORT NEWS-Valerie Scott Wilson, 62, died Saturday, June 11, 2011, at her Newport News home.

A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Crocker Funeral Home in Suffolk, followed by burial in the Boone Family Cemetery in Gates, N.C. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time.

Mrs. Wilson was a Southampton County native.
