NORFOLK-Retired Circuit Court Judge Luther Cornelius Edmonds, 68, of Norfolk, died Thursday June 9, 2011.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church Bute Street in Norfolk, followed by burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery. A viewing will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The family will receive friends at his home daily from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Graves Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Edmonds retired as a circuit court judge in Norfolk and worked as chief judge of the Norfolk General District Court for many years. Earlier in his career he was a social studies teacher in Southampton County Public Schools.
