Patrick C. Jarvis

Courtland – Patrick Clark “Pat” Jarvis, 74, passed away May 25, 2011. He was born in Ivydale, WV, a son of the late Filbert and Virginia Chapman Jarvis. He was a retired painting contractor and a former employee of the US Coast and Geodetic Survey (now called NOAH). Pat loved hunting and fishing and was a NRA member.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 51 years, Carol Murphy Jarvis; two sons, Keith E. Jarvis (Denise) of Drewryville and Steve R. Jarvis (Lori) of Como, NC; one grandchild; four step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren; one sister, Sandra Baker of Eustis, FL; one brother, Edsel Jarvis (Billie) of Charleston, WV; and a cousin, Dave Brannon of Clay, WV.

A memorial service will be conducted at 1 pm, Saturday, May 28, 2011 at the Rock Church, 130 Lakeview Road, Franklin, with the Rev, David Dillon officiating. Interment will be private. Memorial may be made to FOP Lodge #56, VCE, for the Southampton 4-H Fishing Extravaganza, P. O. Box 10, Courtland, VA. 23837. Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, is assisting the family.
