ZUNI-Barbara W. Stokes, 67, of Barrett Town Road, Zuni, VA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at her home.

She was born May 30, 1943 in Alberta, Virginia to the late Mr. Thomas D. Williams and Mrs. Missie Lewis Williams.

She is survived by a loving husband, Randolph Stokes; son, Reginald Williams, his wife Lavonne and their daughter Corie.  She also leaves to mourn, three sisters: Etta and Anna (Billy) of Philadelphia, PA; and Glorine (Howard) of Triangle, VA;  Two brothers: Alfred of Lawrenceville, VA and Thomas of Alberta, VA.  She will be missed by a host of other relatives and friends.

A viewing will take place 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at the Chapel Grove United Church of Christ, Windsor, VA where Reverend H. Carlyle Church, Jr., M. Div. is pastor; Reverend John Townsell will deliver the message; Reverend Johnnie Warren, presiding.  The Committal and Benediction will be in the church cemetery. A traditional service with dignity will be conducted by Wm. M.
