Franklin – Beatrice Mae Pitts, 77, went home to be with her Lord on May 17, 2011. She was born in Nash County, NC, a daughter of the late Baxter and Katie Minchew Parker, and was predeceased by a sister, Carrie Plott and an infant grandson, Mickey Pitts, Jr. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Benjamin Louis Pitts, Jr.; her daughter, Debbie Wiggins and husband, Wayne of Suffolk; three sons, Donnie Pitts and wife, Romona of Franklin, Mickey Pitts and wife, Jennifer, and Bobby Pitts and wife, Amy, all of Courtland; six grandchildren, Brandon, Doodle Bug, Matthew, Katie, Scott, and Wade; three great-grandchildren, Mckynsi, Luke, and Gavin; one sister, Mavis Bennett of Whitakers, NC; and one brother, Bill Parker of Fayetteville, NC.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 am Friday, May 20, 2011 at Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Howard Vinson officiating. Interment will follow at Southampton Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 pm Thursday at the funeral home and suggests that memorials be made to the East Pavilion Discretionary Fund.
