PORTSMOUTH—Mary Louise Blakes, 83, died May 10, 2011, at Carrington Place Nursing Home in Chesapeake.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Trinity No. 1, Portsmouth. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park.

Ms. Blakes was a native of Capron.

Survivors include a daughter, Aretha R. Harris of Richmond; sons Richard Blake and Fred Pope, both of Portsmouth, and Stanley Pope of Atlanta; and brothers Thomas Blakes and Nathaniel, Amos, Booker and Lawrence Warren.
