Suffolk – Fletcher Charlie Francis, Jr., 71, passed away May 10, 2011. He was born in Franklin, the son of the late Fletcher and Cora Smith Francis. Charlie was a sergeant in U. S. Army during Vietnam, was retired from the Union Camp Sheet Finishing department and was a Baptist.

Left to cherish his memory are three daughters, Lisa Keech, Nicole Dieterle (Joel), Tracy Francis; one son, Ray Francis; one sister, Diane Barrett (Tyrone); his longtime love, Jean Drewry; nine grandchildren, Jason Keech (Jennifer), Kelly Birdsong (Ken), Kelly Anne-Nicole Francis Goss, Dylan Dieterle, Cheyanne Horne, Taylor Dieterle, Maddie Dundlow, Zach Coggsdale, Jacob Coggsdale; and three great-grandchildren, Kayla Keech, Kodie Keech, Koen Birdsong.

A graveside service, with military honors, will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Friday, May 13, 2011 at Southampton Memorial Park with the Rev. Ted Woosley officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 pm today (Thursday) at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
