Suffolk – Charles Allan “Chuck” Martin, 51, passed away January 18, 2011 at his residence. He was born in Newport News, a son of the late Helen Minnick Martin and Robert Franklin Martin, Jr., and was predeceased by a brother, Donald A. “Donnie” Martin. Chuck was a member of First Friends Church in Hampton.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter; two grandsons; a sister, Sharon M. Stieh (Butch) of Courtland; a brother, Timothy S. Martin (Christine) of Christiansburg; one nephew, Bryan R. Barnes of Courtland; two nieces, Elizabeth and Stephanie Martin of Christiansburg; one uncle; and many cousins.

A graveside service, with military rites, will be conducted May 20, 2011 at 2:30 pm at Albert G. Horton, Jr., Memorial Veterans Cemetery, 5310 Milners Road, Suffolk, 23434. Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, is assisting the family. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
