Norris Waddell Edmonds

Norris Waddell Edmonds, 70, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2011 after a long illness. Born in Roanoke on July 19, 1940, he was the son of the late Ralph Goodman and Dorothy Belle Patteson Edmonds. Norris will be remembered for his ability to fix just about anything from his passion for restoring antique cars to building the garages where he stored them.

He is survived by his children, Brenda Edmonds-Cox, Paul Edmonds and wife, Lisa, and Kelly Gael Edmonds O’Berry; five grandchildren, Ryan Patrick O’Berry, Kyle Edward O’Berry, Britney Edmonds, Kayla Grubbs, and Christopher Cox; great grandchild, Jayden Taylor; brothers, William Lester Edmonds and his wife, Joan, Thomas Nelson Edmonds and wife, Schuyler; a sister, Dorothy Patricia Bryan and husband, John.

A graveside service with military honors will be conducted at 1PM on Monday, August 15, 2011 at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk. The Wakefield Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home is serving the family. Condolences may be posted at www.jtmorriss.com.
