SUFFOLK—L. L. White Sr., 83, of Suffolk died May 3, 2011, at Sentara Obici Hospital.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Mark’s A.M.E. Zion Church, Suffolk. Burial will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum.

Mr. White was the former owner and operator of White’s Gulf Service Station and White’s Spur Convenience Store/Service Station in Suffolk. He later became the owner/operator of White’s Grocery, where he retired from in 2008.

Survivors include four daughters; five sons, including Linwood L. White Jr. of Franklin; one sister; and four brothers.

Crocker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
