SEDLEY—Two local men were arrested Wednesday for allegedly burglarizing two Sedley-area homes after one of the victims saw them leaving his home.

Brandon Pearson, 19, of Franklin and Ken Griffin Jr., 18, Windsor are accused of breaking into homes in the 30000 block of Vicksville Road and the 30000 block of Maple Avenue, according to the Southampton County Sheriff’s Department.

The department received a call from the victim, who was near his home on Vicksville Road when he saw two people pull into his yard. They fled in a vehicle when he approached and the homeowner followed in his vehicle and called police, according to a news release.

Deputies responded and a pursuit followed; the suspects were apprehended in the area of Berlin Dory Road.

Both were charged with two felony counts of breaking and entering and two counts of grand larceny. Griffin was also charged with eluding police.
