FRANKLIN—An 18-year-old Windsor woman was arrested for allegedly stabbing a 16-year-old Franklin girl during a fight in an alley behind the victim’s Norfleet Street home on Tuesday.

Nikkol Irene Wade of the 9000 Block of Cut Thru Road is accused of severely injuring the unidentified victim, who was transferred from Southampton Memorial Hospital to a Hampton Roads hospital. Franklin police Lt. Tim Whitt would not name the hospital due to concerns for the girl’s safety.

Whitt said he believes the victim could be in the intensive care unit due to the extreme laceration to her left forearm.

“Due to the severity of the injury, she was transferred to a higher level (hospital),” Whitt said. “She will need some vascular surgery and (surgery for damaged) nerves. That’s just my opinion. I know a significant injury.”

When police arrived, neither the victim or the suspect were there; police learned a friend of victim’s had taken her to the Franklin hospital.

Police found two knives at the scene and a large amount of blood.

Police learned that some sort of confrontation between the victim and suspect occurred in the alley.

Whitt said he did not know what the fight was about.

Police are also looking for a white female and white male who left the scene in a white Ford Mustang with Wade; both are wanted for questioning.

“She (the victim) was able to tell police that they were there, and we would like to talk to them and see what they know about the incident,” Whitt said.

Wade was charged with malicious wounding with intent to maim, disfigure, disable or kill and taken to Western Tidewater Jail in Suffolk on $5,000 secured bond.
