FRANKLIN—For their second meeting of the season, the Southampton High School boys’ tennis team defeated Franklin 6-3 on Tuesday.

For the host Broncos in single matches, No. 1 Paris Garza lost 0-6, 1-6 to Deshon Rollins, No. 2 Michael Lawyer lost 3-6, 2-6 to Sam McDonald, No. 3 Shaun Derama defeated Ellis Cofield, 6-4, 6-4, No. 4 Brian Holland defeated Saquarn Johnson, 6-3, 6-1 and No. 5 William Jackson went down to Ezz Niles 5-7, 1-6.

In doubles, No. 1 Lawyer and Garza lost 2-8 to Rollins and McDonald, and No. 2 Derama and Holland won 8-3 over Cofield and Jamel Johnson.
