FRANKLIN—Franklin City Councilman Greg McLemore had misdemeanor destruction of property charges dismissed Monday in Franklin General District Court.

A charge of destruction of property was dismissed after McLemore and complainant Barbara Rands agreed to settle the issue, said clerk Brenda Nance. McLemore told The Tidewater News after Rands filed the complaint for the Jan. 12 incident that he broke a mirror.

McLemore also was given until July 8 to pay $201 in court costs.
