Windsor boys netters easily defeat Broncos

FRANKLIN—The Windsor Dukes took an easy 6-1 Tri-Rivers District win over the Franklin boys’ tennis team Thursday in Franklin.

The Broncos’ only win came in a three-setter with No. 6 William Jackson’s 6-2, 3-6, 6-0 win over Tom Hogan.

In doubles, the No. 2 Dukes’ team of Zach Stanger-Hayden overtook Michael Lawyer and Shawn Derama, 8-1; the Dukes’ No. 3 team of Cody Reese and Tom Hogan defeated Tevin Sumblin, 8-6.

In singles action, winning for the Dukes were No. 1 Bryce Lawrence, 6-0, 6-1 against Parish Garza, No. 2 Stanger-Hayden 6-1, 6-2 over Lawyer, No. 3 Kyle Hollowell, 6-1, 6-2 over Shawn Derama and No. 4 Reese, 6-3, 6-0 over Sumblin.

The Broncos are 0-5 overall and 0-1 in the district.
