Windsor boys lose 6-3 to NSA

WINDSOR—Windsor boys’ tennis team lost 6-3 to Nansemond Suffolk Academy on Monday.

The individual match scores were:

No. 1 Singles—Bryce Lawrence (WHS) defeated Brad Brown (NSA) 4-6, 6-3, 7-5

No. 2 Singles—Riley Vaughn (NSA) defeated Zach Stenger-Hayden (WHS) 6-1, 6-0

No. 3 Singles—Kyle Hollowell (WHS) defeated Grent DeMello (NSA) 6-4, 6-3

No. 4 Singles—Jake Roberson (NSA) defeated Cody Reese (WHS) 3-6, 7-6 (7-1 tie-breaker), 7-5

No. 5 Singles—Tommy Starkey (NSA) defeated Maurice Bynum (WHS) 6-3, 6-4

No. 6 Singles—Cole Barclay (NSA) defeated Tom Hogan (WHS) 6-4, 6-4

No. 1 Doubles—B. Brown/R. Vaughn (NSA) defeated B. Lawrence/ Z. Stenger-Hayden (WHS) 8-6.

No. 2 Doubles—K. Hollowell/M. Bynum (WHS) defeated G. DeMello/A. Dates (NSA) 8-2

No. 3 Doubles—J. Roberson/T. Starkey (NSA) defeated C. Reese/T. Hogan (WHS) 8-3

Tuesday’s match against Appomattox Regional Governor’s School was cancelled and will be rescheduled.

Windsor on Thursday, April 14, will travel to Franklin for a 4 p.m. match.
