VIRGINIA BEACH—The Asian Association of Hampton Roads, for which Franklin businessman Tim Bradshaw serves on its board of directors, has endorsed a new Virginia Beach complex that will feature upscale retail and office space and up to four out parcels with a modern Asian flair.

Bradshaw, founder and chief executive officer for Insercorp in Franklin, said his company will be designing the new website for the project.

“This is new, a first-of-its-kind development coming to Virginia Beach,” he said.

Beach Development Group in Virginia Beach will oversee construction of what will be known as AsiaTown in the heart of Princess Anne. This initiative, which is expected to create 437 jobs, is the first of its kind in the nation and will serve as a model for other communities.
