COURTLAND—Emmett Douglas “Skinny” Stewart Sr., 94, of Courtland died April 8, 2011, at Southampton Memorial Hospital.

A graveside service with Masonic rites will be held at 11 a.m. today, April 13, at Olive Branch Cemetery in Portsmouth.

Mr. Stewart retired from the U.S. Navy and civil service. He was a veteran of both World War II and the Korean War, and a member of Courtland Masonic Lodge No. 85.

Sturtevant Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
