Courtland – Margaret Ellen Bradshaw Edwards, 96, widow of William James Edwards, passed away March 30, 2011 at Southampton Memorial Hospital. Born in Southampton County, she was a daughter of the late Walter Linwood and Gertrude Peele Bradshaw, and was predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth Vaughan, three brothers, Robert, Walter, and Lawrence Bradshaw, and a granddaughter, Sherry Atkins Holt. Mrs. Edwards was a graduate of Franklin High School, a member of the Keen-agers, and a member of Courtland Baptist Church and the WMU.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Trudy E. Atkins (Edgar) of Courtland; two sons, J. Linwood “Lynn” Edwards (Betty) of Courtland and Steve K. Edwards (Sandra) of Franklin; four grandchildren, Rich Edwards (Barbara), Jason Edwards (Melissa), Lori Edwards, Ed Atkins (Kristi); and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service and visitation with the family will be held at 3 pm Sunday, April 3, 2011 in the new Worship Center of Courtland Baptist Church.
