FRANKLIN—Two Franklin women were arrested Thursday for allegedly breaking into a Thomas Street home and threatening to assault a woman, Franklin police said.

Arrested were Tamara Danyel Heath, 24, of 419 Bruce St. and Daltonia Lee Shaw, 19, of 205 Hall St.

Heath and Shaw were wanted for allegedly kicking in the door of the woman’s home on March 5. Police on burglary patrol detail at 3 p.m. spotted a parked car in the alley behind some homes in the 200 block of Robin Hood Road and became suspicious.

“There’s not supposed to be any parked traffic in alley ways behind houses,” said Lt. Tim Whitt. “It didn’t look right.”

Police found Heath and Shaw nearby; both had warrants for their arrest.

“They broke into the home with the intention to assault the resident,” Whitt said.

The woman was not hurt.

Heath and Shaw were charged with burglary with intent to commit assault and battery and destruction of property and released on 2,500 secured bonds.
