SUFFOLK— George Montgomery Beale, 46, of Suffolk, died Monday, March 21, 2011, after falling into the Nottoway River and drowning while fishing in Southampton County.

Funeral services will be held noon Saturday at St. Paul R.Z.U.A.

Burial will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be today, March 25, from 7 to 8 p.m. at Crocker Funeral Home.

Mr. Beale, a Southampton County native, worked as a self-employed contractor.

Survivors include his wife, Annette Beale; daughters Takesha Cobb, Tracina Wilkerson, SaShae’ Ford, Crystal Ford, Lacresha Riddick and Ashley Cobb, all of Suffolk; son, George Montgomery Beale Jr. of Suffolk; his mother, Eva Jean Stewart Newton; sisters Brenda Turner and Tasha Beale, both of Suffolk, and Brenda Manning of Franklin; and two brothers, Carter and Rodney Beale.
