FRANKLIN—Raiford Psychological Services has moved to 212 Middle St. in downtown Franklin.
Owner Dr. Stacey Scott started her business in the Franklin Business Incubator in April 2008. Teresa Beale, executive director for Franklin-Southampton Area Chamber of Commerce; Melissa Rose, office manager with the Chamber; and Nancy Parrish, manager of the Franklin Business Incubator, celebrated the milestone with a ribbon-cutting on March 1.
“This is exactly what the Franklin Business Incubator is all about,” Parrish said. “We help to get young and emerging businesses on their feet so that they are able to grow into their own spaces. While the average amount of time it takes for businesses to do this varies anywhere from three to seven years, Raiford Psychological Services was ready to do this in about 2 1/2 years. They are certainly one of our great success stories.”
Scott credited Franklin Business Incubator with helping make her dream of starting a business a reality. She also said she appreciated the support from the community.
Also attending the ceremony were Franklin Mayor Jim Councill, state Delegate William Barlow, Robbie Purvis with Bronco Federal Credit Union, Kathy Worrell with Manry-Rawls Insurance Co., Juanita Richards with Richwood Graphics, Brenda Pope with Franklin Business Incubator; Kelly Mills with Care Advantage and Cindy Thomason with Millview Consulting.
