SEDLEY—Three people were thrown from a car after the driver — clocked at more than 100 mph — lost control of the 2002 Camaro at 10:10 p.m. Wednesday on Sedley Road north of Story Station Road, said Virginia State Police Sgt. Michelle Anaya.

Evan Wayne Jones, 20, of 28000 block of Holly Run Drive, Carrsville, was flown to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where he was in good condition on Thursday, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Anaya did not have the names of the two passengers, but understands they were taken to the hospital in Norfolk. Without names, their conditions could not be checked.

Seat belts were not worn and it’s not known if alcohol was a factor, Anaya said.

Jones was not charged.
