Ag officials read to Tidewater Academy students

WAKEFIELD—The Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is celebrating Virginia Agriculture Week and Agriculture Literacy Week by reading to children in pre-school through the third grade throughout the state.

State officials, staff and board members from VDACS, Farm Bureau members and Annie the Reading dog will visit elementary schools to read Ready, Set, GROW!, a book on Virginia agriculture, and provide other activities on Virginia agricultural products.
