SUFFOLK—Two people on Wednesday remained hospitalized from injuries they received in a pickup crash Sunday morning in Suffolk that left a Waverly woman dead.
William Davis, 26, of Carrsville and Dustin Bishop, address unknown, were taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, according to Suffolk police.
Suffolk police said they are continuing to investigate the 1:45 crash that occurred on Glen Haven Drive, about two-thirds of a mile from the village of Holland.
Police claim that Davis was the driver of the 2005 Chevrolet, but he denies it. There was evidence at the scene that indicated Davis was the driver and the truck is registered to him, police said.
He has not been charged.
The westbound truck left the road, went into a ditch, hit a culvert and traveled through a yard before flipping 2½ times. It came to rest upside down.
Heinrich and Bishop were thrown, police said.
