FREDERICKSBURG—Southampton County Technical Career Center students in food service management placed third in the Prostart Invitational state competition at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg on Saturday.

Team members Jeffrey Hawkins, Jessica Dimick, Jarvis Lucas,

Christina Marshpund and Morgan Hulker received bronze medals and scholarships to Johnson & Wales University, Stratford College, Baltimore International College, The Culinary Institute of Virginia and The Art Institutes.

Culinary team members Devin Labat, Michael Adams, John Lilley, Kristin DiLoreto and Davis Moore also participated with a 60-minute live cooking event.
