FRANKLIN—James L. “Butch” Turner, 60, of Franklin died Feb. 28, 2011, at Southampton Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at Elvin Vaughan Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery.

Mr. Turner was a native of Southampton County.

Survivors include his sister, Eleanor T. Best.
