Courtland woman arrested for alleged credit card fraud

COURTLAND—A Courtland woman was arrested for allegedly using another person’s credit card to charge items valued at more than $400 in Franklin, Southampton County and Chesapeake.
Kimberly Evette Juggins, 47, of the 27000 block of Flaggy Run Road was charged with felony credit card theft and 10 counts of felony credit card forgery, said Wanda Covington, spokeswoman for Southampton County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy on Jan. 26 responded to a report from Franklin Police for alleged bank machine fraud. The credit card in question also was apparently used in Franklin.
A woman told police her credit card was stolen around Christmas and she learned after receiving her statement it been used multiple times, including at Seven-11, Food Lion and Sunoco, all in Southampton County.
Police said through an investigation, the credit card’s use was linked to Juggins.
