SMITHFIELD—Dan Gwaltney Delk died Feb. 23, 2011.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Parr Funeral Home, Suffolk. Burial will be at Mill Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 7 to 8 p.m. Friday.

Mr. Delk was a U.S. Army veteran during the Korean Conflict.

He retired from American General as an insurance agent after 37 years.

Survivors include his wife, Marie Scott Delk; daughter, Julie Renea Delk; and sister, Nancy Delk Hall of Surry.

Parr Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
