SMITHFIELD—David “Bit” Russell Everett passed away Friday, Feb. 18, 2010, at Sentara Obici Hospital.

Mr. Everett was a lifelong resident of Isle of Wight County.

He was an assistant manager with Smithfield Foods.

Mr. Everett is survived by his daughter, Lindsey Ryan Everett of Windsor; son, Daniel Wade Everett; and brothers, John “Jackie” Edward Everett Jr. and Robert “Bobby” Wayne Everett, all of Smithfield.

A graveside service was held Tuesday in St. Luke’s Memorial Park with the Rev. Dr. Donald Rhoton officiating.

Colonial Funeral Home, Smithfield, handled arrangements.
