CAPRON—The cause of a fire that destroyed a Capron-area home on Tuesday will be ruled undetermined, yet doesn’t appear suspicious, Vernie Francis III, chief for Capron Volunteer Fire and First Aid Squad, said Wednesday
“I’m sure the insurance (company will investigate),” Francis said.
He said he believes the fire at 24126 Bryant Church Road may have started in the area of the bedrooms.
Firefighters were called at 1:30 p.m. to a home owned by James Wilson. Wilson’s son, Jamie, and his girlfriend and three children lived at the home. The girlfriend and two of the children escaped unharmed.
Capron was assisted Courtland, Boykins and Newsoms volunteer fire departments.
