FRANKLIN—John Dawson Sr., 83, of Franklin died Feb. 4, 2011, at Sentara Obici Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at noon today at First Baptist Church on Burdette Road. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery.

William M. Johnson and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
