Alice G. Creech

SUFFOLK—Alice Godwin Creech, 86, widow of Thelbert Ray Creech, died January 30, 2011, at Southampton Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Smithfield, N.C., a daughter of the late Walter and Clyde Hinton Godwin.

She was a member of South Quay Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memory are her three sons, Jerry R. Creech and his wife, Shelley, of Ivor, Rudy D. Creech and his wife, Yvonne, of Carrsville, and Randy D. Creech and his fiancé, Diane; five grandchildren, Kim C. Infinger, Jill C. Dillon, Crimson M. Pelfrey, and Cody and Cass Creech; and five great-grandchildren, Tyler Infinger, Jack, D. J., and Benny Dillon, and Luke Pelfrey.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 2, 2011, at Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny Dillon. Interment will follow at Southampton Memorial Park.
