COURTLAND—On Tuesday, January 25, 2011, at 6:50 am, Earl Thomas Mason Sr., father, grandfather and great-grandfather, entered into eternal rest in the ICU at Southampton Memorial Hospital in Franklin, Virginia.

He was born to the late Emmit and Alice Mason on October 16, 1929, in Sussex County, Virginia. He was a resident at East Pavilion, South.

Mr. Mason was a member of David Temple AMEZ Church in Courtland, Va., until his health failed.

He was married to Jessye Brown Mason who preceded him in death in July 1981

He leaves memories with his children: Brenda Warren (Russell) of Franklin, Va., Douglas Mason of Roxbury, MA., Jessie Ivey (Willie) of Roswell, Ga., Conni Mason of Richmond, Va., and Earl Mason Jr. (Leonetta) of Richmond, Va.; seven grandchildren, Russell Warren (Kelly) of Franklin, Va., Hamilton Warren of Franklin, Va., Ashley Mason of Boston, Mass., Lamont Ivey of Roswell, Ga., Lysa Moore (Mario) of Decatur, Ga., Jessyca Mason of Richmond, Va., and Earl Mason III of Richmond, Va.; five great-grandchildren, Avery Warren of Franklin, Va., Jaivier Warren of Franklin, Va., Alysha Warren of Franklin, Va., Jy’Liyah Smallwood of Franklin, Va., and Eli Moore of Decatur, Ga. He also leaves nephews, nieces, cousins, sister-in-laws and friends.

We all hope that you find rest beyond the beyond, where there is no beginning and there is no end, where every day is Sunday, where the sun never ceases to shine and time shall be no more.
