Louise B. Jones

FRANKLIN—Louise Bynum Jones of Forks of the River Road, Franklin, Virginia, passed on January 17, 2011, in Southampton Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Mount Calvary Memorial Baptist Church. Most recently, she attended Tabernacle of Holiness Church and was a member of the Martin Luther King Choir. In 1998, after 32½ years of service, she retired from Franklin City School System as a bus driver. She is survived by her husband, whom she faithfully loved and served for over 56 years, William T. “Buddy” Jones Sr.; her children, William T. Jones Jr. (Pamela) of Suffolk, Virginia, Joyce J. Johnson (Forrest) of Courtland, Virginia, Sheila J. Dawson (Pernell) and Angela J. Buckingham (Robert), both of Suffolk, Virginia, Edgar Jones and Danny K. Jones, Sr. , both of Franklin, Virginia, and Rudolph Fiers (Sabrina), Baltimore, Maryland; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of cousins and in-laws. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2011, at 11 a.m. at East End Church of God, 410 East Street, Franklin, Virginia, where Bishop S.D. Willis is pastor; Reverend Roosevelt Harmon Jr. and Reverend John Dawson will deliver the message of comfort.

Burial will be in Southview Cemetery. On the day of service, her remains will rest in church for viewing by 9:30 a.m.

A traditional service with dignity will be conducted by William M. Johnson and Sons Funeral Home, 224 South Main Street, Franklin, Va.
