Boykins man facing felony charge after fight

BOYKINS—A 58-year-old Boykins man was arrested following an alleged fight on Saturday.
Glenn Grant of the 18000 block of North Railroad Avenue is charged with felonious assault for the fight in the 32000 block of North Main Street in Boykins, according to a news release from the Southamtpon County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office received a call at about 10:30 p.m. for a fight, but when deputies arrived, the people involved had left.
“Initial information indicated that two males were fighting and a steel pipe was involved,” according to the news release.
Deputies investigated, and the victim, a 36-year-old Pendleton, N.C. man, identified Grant as his attacker, police said. The attack left the victim with a bloody nose and several knots on his head.
Grant is being held at the Southampton County Jail.
