FRANKLIN—Southampton County sheriff’s deputies and a SWAT team were called to a home on Pretlow Road after a neighbor reported seeing a man pull his girlfriend into a house Wednesday afternoon.

The sheriff’s office received the report of a domestic situation at 2:43 p.m. and the SWAT team was called as a precautionary measure.

The couple, however, came out of the home in the 28000 block of Pretlow Road voluntarily once they realized the sheriff’s office was there. There were no injuries and there are no charges pending, according to sheriff’s office spokeswoman Sgt. Wanda Covington.
