CHESAPEAKE—Franklin and Southampton County high school seniors have until Friday, April 15, to apply for scholarships from The Tidewater Builders Association Scholarship Foundation.

Scholarship awards will be based on academic performance, community service and financial need. The four-year scholarships can be applied to any field of study.

The TBA Scholarship Foundation is supported by proceeds from the sale of an annual scholarship house, rent from an annual scholarship apartment, and endowments and contributions from TBA member firms and individuals.

The TBA Scholarship Foundation was established in 1965 and has awarded 411 scholarships totaling $1.5 million to local high school seniors.

Applications are available from high school guidance counselors in Franklin and Southampton County schools. They can also be downloaded from the TBA website at www.tbaonline.org under the “scholarships” link. Call TBA at 305-9018 for more information.
