Franklin hospital patient pleased with treatment

To the Editor:

On my recent stay in Southampton Memorial Hospital, I would like to say “thank you” for the attention that I received.

To Laurie Ross, director of nursing, as well as Dawn Brickhouse, supervisor of nursing, your troops are marching to the right beat of drums.

Never once did I hear a complaint of any type. Your people’s efforts were directed toward comfort care for their patient.

Thank you, Rita Gardner, for your patience while chasing allies looking for further care options available to me at home. I’m sure I’ll need a refresher course!

Last, but not least, I want to recognize Betty Baker, the custodian, who has the ability to start any day with a smile and a heartful hello, sounding as this day was to leave everyone she came in contact with a better attitude than when she met them. I don’t think she will ever see a down day, nor will any patient who comes in her contact.

I am especially pleased that Dr. Alan Edwards was able to provide his expertise in dealing with my problem.
