To the Editor:

Franklin/Southampton American Red Cross Office would like to express its sincere thanks to all those who either volunteered to help with our local blood drives or donated blood.

Recent weather conditions have caused shortages in some types of blood, and thanks to your generosity, we have had three very successful local drives.

The American Red Cross is not a government-funded agency and depends on your support.

Thanks for helping us to keep our promise — “We’ll be there … when help can’t wait.”
