ISLE OF WIGHT—Shopping with certain retailers online could help earn money for Isle of Wight County Schools thanks to a new program the school division is participating in.
The school division has partnered with Furtal Media for an online shopping program that provides cash back to schools for purchases with retailers, including Amazon.com, The GAP, Wal-Mart, Kmart, Target, Macy’s, Barnes & Noble, Sears and others.
To use to Furtal, log on to www.va.furtal.com, click the drop down menu and select the school you wish to support. Then, start shopping with the online retailers.
The Furtal program is free for the school division and users pay the same prices they would pay whenever they shop online; there is no additional cost.
The cash back rewards from retailers vary, but typically range between 5 and 7 percent.
