SUFFOLK—Anne Parker Carr, 90, died Jan. 2, 2011, at her home.

Mrs. Carr was secretary and treasurer of Holland Peanut Co. and was employed by the U.S. Postal Service for 28 years, retiring as the Holland station manager in 1983.

Survivors include a son, James Thomas Carr of Suffolk; a daughter, LuAnne LaPoint of Suffolk; and brothers John Newman Parker of Colonial Heights and William Jesse Parker of Tazwell.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in Holly Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and other times at the home of LuAnne LaPoint.
