WINDSOR-Clarence “Sammie” Thomas Whitley, 79, of Windsor, died Dec. 31, 2010.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk. Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Whitley, an Isle of Wight County native and Air Force veteran, retired from the maintenance department at Gwaltney’s.
Survivors include his wife, Martha G. Whitley; two daughters, Linda Wangerin of Suffolk and Jackie Carr of Windsor; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
