ZUNI—No one was hurt after the driver of a tractor-trailer rear-ended an Isle of Wight County school bus with three Windsor Elementary School students aboard on Wednesday morning.

Sgt. Michelle Anaya, a spokeswoman for the Virginia State Police, said the bus was westbound on U.S. Route 460 at Fire Tower Road in Zuni at about 8:25 when the tractor-trailer “tapped it from behind.”

Anaya said the crash caused minor damage.

Isle of Wight County Schools spokeswoman Katherine Goff said the children were checked out at the scene and parents were notified. The tractor-trailer driver was cited for the crash, Anaya said. She didn’t identify either driver.
