IVOR-Virginia “Bunny” Seward Jones passed away on December 10, 2010 while in the hospital surrounded by her loving family. Bunny was a resident of the Waverly Health and Rehabilitation Center while she was battling with numerous health issues for the past several years. Prior to her stay in Waverly, Bunny was a resident of Ivor, VA. Bunny was born March 31, 1945 in Surry County where she has always called home. Bunny is preceded in death by the late Jeff Edwin Seward, Sr. (Father) and Willie Price Seward (Mother) also of Surry.

She is survived by a special and very dedicated daughter, Stephanie Jones Burchett (Jeff) of Ivor, a granddaughter, Brynna Dare Burchett who was the light of her life, a brother, Jeff Edwin Seward, Jr. (Kathleen) of Richmond, an aunt, Roxie Price Sheldon (Pete) of Williamsburg, a god son, Michael Nesbitt (Heather) of Chapin, South Carolina, two nieces, a nephew, several great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Bunny was aspecial lady that always put others first in her life. She was the behind the scene person that would make sure whatever ceremony or event that she was involved in was done right and without wanting any recognition for her efforts. Bunny was a big supporter and life teacher to her daughter as she grew up. She made sure Stephanie had everything she needed to be successful. Whenever there was a school function or class trip she was there helping with whatever needed to be done. Bunny’s teaching and guidance also carried over to her granddaughter Brynna that has taught her to be the same caring person as Gramme.

Bunny was a true Christian and a very active member of the Ivor Baptist Church before her stay at Waverly Health and Rehabilitation Center. Bunny was the Chief Decorator for many events in the church and everyone could see the pride she took to make the sanctuary or fellowship hall beautiful. She was a Great Lady! Mom, Gramme, Sister, niece and Friend, you will always be loved and missed.
